A Jewish businessman was said to be on board a missing Air France flight, COLlive has learned.
The airliner disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean late Sunday en route from Brazil to Paris. Brazilian military pilots searching for the plane spotted floating debris Tuesday but no signs of life.
Serge (Shlomo) Anidjar, a resident of Boulogne-Billancourt, France, was on his way back home after spending three days in Brazil on a business trip.
Anidjar, 40, has a wife and 3 children, the oldest only 12. They attend local Jewish schools. He was in touch with Beth Loubavitch of Boulogne-Billancourt and sent his children to its Gan Israel camp.
“The family is devastated,” Chabad Rabbi Michael Sojcher told VIN News, adding that “Shlomo was a good man, and I know him very well. This is a very hard time for us.”
VIN News confirmed that Mr. Anidjar is Director of Finance and Administration of Keyrus a Global French software company.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Sabag, a Shliach in Paris, is in touch with his collegue in Rio de Janero Rabbi Yehoshua Binyamin Goldman.
“We are praying for good news,” they said.

Senegal is in no way a terrorist state ! You are saying nonsense completely… The People of Senegal are friends of Israel…. There is an Israeli Embassy there FYI
Will she be an Aguna, if the bodies are not found and identified? OMG!
Boruch Dayan Haemes. It really hurts!
Even though they are saying it was the storm or lightening. I believe it was terrorist related, specifically due to the fact that they were right near Senegalese air space. I believe Senegal is a terrorist breeding country.
it was a terrorist bomb
