The children of the Chabad School of Chadera have gone a long way: A bit more than a decade ago the school opened as a small box, continued in caravans and thank G-d more recently has been learning in a large building.
However, the building the city we have been renting from, “B’nai Akiva”, is already old and doesn’t abide by the required safety measures.
In addition, due to the increase of students, thank G-d, up to 400!, may their numbers increase, the need for a sports playground and the use of walkways and synthetic grass has arisen. Presently, we have to walk through sand, gravel and mud…
This will also provide an opportunity to establish a number of small farms for natural beauty and student activity as well as other initiatives, such as a zoo and more.
Parents have expressed their satisfaction for the anticipated transformation with the big change and renovation of the school and the development of the surrounding area.
The Chabad School Of Chadera is expanding with the initiative for development and is planning to add online classes with a projector and screen in every class, which until now hasn’t been. Tens of computers will be purchased shortly for the benefit of the students’ and the expansion of their horizons in addition to musical equipment and more.
Rabbi Yochanan Butman, Executive Director of the organization, has decided to take charge in order to enhance the childrens’ conditions. “There’s no doubt,” he says, “that in light of the renovation and expansion, one hundred new students will join the school!”
Presently we are in the midst of a fund raising campaign for our Chabad institutions to reach 2.8 million shekels, of which a million shekels will be invested for the upgrading of our educational institutions.
Every shekel acquired from the community will be quadrupled by other contributors provided we reach our goal of seven hundred thousand shekels, a quarter of the total sum required.
We are calling upon the joint effort of the community to make the change with a personal contribution along with the help of others for this vital objective for the benefit of the children.
Now is the time to fulfill the mitzvah of “Machatzit Hashekel” (giving of the half shekel prior to Purim). Enter and make a difference…
Your efforts will allow us to realize our goal.
We have until 6:00 p.m. Israel time to reach the anticipated goal!
