Welcome to Monday Torah, a weekly class by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson, one of the most sought after speakers in the Jewish world today and spiritual leader of Congregation Bais Shmuel in Crown Heights. This week’s class explores a powerful teaching of the Arizal about the tragedy of strife, how it destroys people, families, communities and nations.
We all have grievances and we all want certain changes. But is the in-fighting worth the terrible price it exacts?
i think his shiur was good, but missed the point. the problem is not the machloikes. machloikes is nothing new in jewish life. the problem today is the dissregard for piskei din, which is supposed to bring each machloikes to its just conclussion.
if you try to fix the wrong problem nothing will ever get better.
lets not be naive. machlokess is here till moshiach comes. but if we follow the rules laid out by toras emes then the machlokess won’t be destructive.
That was amazing! I hope everyone listens to this, and internalizes it, acts on it, and with this Moshiach will Come this second!
Moshiach Now!
Thank G-d 🙂
Chabad should be a synonim for Love, Yid should be a synoanom of love 😀
waw seems like moshiach is really close
perhaps you can save our community we are desperate for your guidance you make so much sense
Thank you so much! At first, when I saw it was long, I said okay I’ll just watch it for a few minutes; but it was so incredible that I couldn’t stop watching until the very end! I hung onto his every word! A must for everyone to see!!
If our leaders cant stop fighting, how can we simple people stop?
“Irene” means peace.
