they look like doghouses!
too bad the next generation will not have them
Maurice has long departed from earth.
Yechi Armand. And how about Maurice?
wow 29 comments about camp switching tents to outhouses. lotta time out there
no!!!!!!!!!!!! those tents rocked!!!!!
u can open um up and go convertible!!!!!!! man im mad now!
If you are worried about light in the tents – there is electricity in there-what is so terrible about turning on the light? Since when do we rely on windows for lighting in camp – we are not there all day anyway.
The program is primarily for learning-and it is a great place for that. Who really cares where you sleep? What’s the big deal? 3 of my boys were there a Masmidim, and learnt more during the summer months than in Yeshiva. Won’t mention which ones.
What a shame. Sleeping in a tent for a full summer was a wonderful experience I will never forget. It’s just too bad my kids will never have that opportunity!
Though I did have a a chipmunk sneak up on me in middle of the night, the tents were awesome. I regret that my boys won’t have the same experience.
dude, every single bunkhouse in cgi mtl has air conditioning.
to 15: CGI mtl kicks cgi ny in all aspects it is a much warmer and chassiddish camp. I’ve been to both. Montreal is my first pick
In total agreement. . imagine in that heat , without windows??? plus it would bring in more light; it must be pretty dark with those solid walls Good idea otherwise!!
i had a blast in cgi montreal highly recommened
the tents are quite an experience but these should be one too (albeit no such an experience)
I was in Masmidim around 10 years ago, and the tents were horrible. It used to get freezing cold in the morning.
I enjoyed being a masmid at both CGI NY and MTL so I have nothing against either. But those huts need WINDOWS
those are not for the campers thay are for the masmidim its diferent
The camp may not have the best grounds, but in the past few years they developed their facilities, and they are probably the best around.
i think the only 2 camps that have cold air in all rooms are y.s.p. and y.k.m. and thay are also both the best programes for the age
i was in both and thats the truth
Number 14: No, Armand is in need of a Refua Sheleima and not really working anymore.
15: Sad parent you are, unaware of the good that is out there for your child. Sucks for him!
thats why i send my children to CGI NY MASMIDIM – The best program for that age!!
Is that Armand, Philip, zol zei zein gezunt.
Do you get air with this, or is there an extra charge? How about some real windows? Looks like an out house.
Yasher Koach to the camp directors for always trying to improve the program. It’s was a great experience then and I am sure that it is much better now with the indoor pool and all those boats Etc. BTW the tents were great.
Camp used to be a place to rough it a bit. We are leaving the comfort of home, to sleep with the sand and ants etc. The tents used to be the hottest place, but we are all spoiled now, and it just doesn’t work anymore. You gotta live with the times. Pity. Good upgrade.
Last summer they made one sample for us. It was used as a sample for one group to use, before building the other 20 or whatever…. Was a great idea. The guys were thrilled to use it. I guess that helped make the decision to rebuild all of them. I love when thought is put into projects like these. Good idea.
We will have a farewell segment coming up.
I was a Masmid for 2 summers. Great summers. I would love to get another shot at it, in these huts. It is great to have a small room, for 4-without a huge bunk. I know the camp made fancy air conditioned bunks for the campers, but it does not compare to the privacy of these small rooms. Great idea. Way to go.
what exactly do u expect first star hotel… the tents were fine! i was a masmid and i know that it was fun and quite an experience! it will never be the same!
It’s about time.
This is for masmidim. It makes them feel different then the rest of camp. Its an experience which at that age they enjoy!
It’s not a country club!! Forget this entitlement personality – why do you think we ‘deserve’ anything?? Take it up with HaShem and THANK Him for everything you have, including the opportunity for our kids to experience CAMP!!
The tents are better — they made us stand apart!
windows
They look more like sucahs than bunks??? I think the kids deserve better than that, and for the amount we pay for camp they should be able to get it!!!!
