Elliot Lasky had just returned from a concert tour with the Rolling Stones when some questions about his faith led him to the front steps of 770. His encounter with the Rebbe would change his life forever.

Special thanks to Rabbis Yechiel Cagen and Yudi Shmotkin of the My Encounter interviews.
first of all i must say… im not jewish nor am i sure if im christian. “But Where is God?” … was the same question… and same wording… i found asking myself while drifting threw youtube…. stumbeling from “a new world order” right into the next end of world prophecy just a few minutes earlier. just like in the interview with *Elliot Lasky* (who ive never heard of before) ive been through some big changes in these last 6years of my life. from 27 years of being a profesional fulltime alcohlic to …suicidal …to a person who loves life! i… Read more »

I just showed the video to my wife who is a baalas tshuva and a former bhudist. She was very inspired by the story and the fact that he didnt get atracted to the bhudist spiritual trip.I can understand the whole situation as many of my classmates in a frum high school werepulled to the mushugas of the time.I myself at the time was in a yeshivish high school in crown heights. One time I needed mincha minyan and I was told to go to the Rebbes minyan . I had a similar experience when the Rebbe looked in my eyes… Read more »
sparked my soul
It seems that the interview is cut short. How can we hear the full interview? The piece we heard was very moving. How many lives did the Rebbe touch…..?
I’m not in a good matzav spiritually.
For me the most inspiring aspect of this story is how the Rebbe after a long day @ the ohel and in very cold weather has all the patients and time for an individual.
wow amazing lesson
we want to see the rebbe now. i have a few questions about different topics. who should ask? rebbe rebbe add mosay!!!!
Its quite clear that the Rebbe is still taking care of everyone who turns to Him, in any way you turn to Him.
In to your own heart …follow what deepest in your heart at all times
to the Rebbe, He can be visited at the ohel (his gravesite in queens.) Just ask and the Rebbe will find a way to answer.
wow
I have seen many clips from JEM
at times there would be those that shed a tear while speaking, remembering the moments we had with the Rebbe
However, this one, touched me, his sincerity his honesty and truth is truly amazing,,,
Seeing is ventures from a frum home to the Rolling Stones to Buddhism, then to 770 asking and yearning for a connection to GOD
thank you JEM you have out done yourselves with this one..
needless to say i shed a tear too watching it,,
This is beautiful.
I cried together with him. Where does a Jew with such questions go to today?
אשרינו שזכינו להתקרב להרבי מליובאװיטש
THANK YOU VERY EMOTIONAL
This is a famous story told by bochurim who witnessed the story they saw the Rebbe motion all around and then point to his heart it is truly amazing to finally hear the story from Elliot himself
Thank you Jem!
Asherenu, that we have such a Rebbeh, such a loving father. We Need Moshiach Now!
