Just before 9 p.m. Sunday an FDNY ambulance was involved in an accident with a school bus.
The accident occurred on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 51st Street in Borough Park.
2 EMS workers and the driver of the bus were transported to a local hospital serious condition.
There were 16 children on the bus, said to be returning from a ‘religious school’; they were all transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Unlikely it was the school bus. A major crash was caused by a fire engine turning the wrong way into a one way street at high speed.
FDNY drivers have a record of blowing red lights for a pizza pie. I know the bus driver personally , he is the most careful driver around.Yes he was seatbelted which saved his life
