The Seymour J. Abrams Cheder Lubavitch Preschool in Chicago had a grand Chanukah Interactive Day. Mothers, fathers and grandparents had a chance to play and socialize in their children’s and grandchildren’s classrooms.
The children sorted dreidels, searched for dreidels in the sand box, played with Chanukah gelt in the water table, made edible menorahs, created edible Chanukah bracelets, decorated Chanukah cookies, played Aleph Bais games and painted hidden Chanukah pictures.
Each class also had a fun sing a long.
Mrs. Lakey Silber, preschool director said, “Watching the children share their world with their parents is always inspiring for me.”
Emily Hoffman, a new parent at Cheder, said, “My husband and I had a chance to play with our son and mingle with friends in a relaxed, warm and nurturing environment. It felt like we were at home with our family.”
Leah Stern, a parent at Cheder said, “The activities were meaningful and the day was seamless. My children count down the days until the interactive day arrives.”
Awesome school. Chicago pride!
Hilarious to see the dads doing arts and crafts eight their children :):)
