Chanukah can be felt in the air at Darchai Menachem school in Crown Heights.
Beginning with a ‘Most-Original-Menorah-Contest’, where the boys voted which piece of art was most creative, to beeswax candle making on Erev Chanukah by dipping wicks into hot wax to create eight beautiful candles.
The highlight of the celebration will be as each grade will go as a class, on mivtzoim, in a mitzvah tank! What can be better than spreading the warmth of Yiddishkeit to those who are not yet aware of its beauty.

Wow Shmulik! What a great menorah you made with marshmallows! Keep it up!
You guys are so inspiring and talented. The creativity and fun used for yiddiskiet and chassidishkiet is incredible. What a beautiful chayios and warm atmosphere you add to Darchei Menachen’s already wonderful staff. Hatzlocha rabba umuflaga! Happy Chanukah spread the light.
Best program directors ever!!! Darchai Menachem are so lucky to have you both!!!
I would like to do this as well. Where is the beeswax from?
My life changed the day my son went to Darchei. There is no other school like it. The love and care shown to each and every boy is unmatched!
I am extremely thankful that my children have a school like Darchai to attend. They take every positive aspect of my children and bring it to light.
Thank you to the amazing program directors as well. My children have become excited to participate in Jewish activities.
Keep it up!
