The Menachem Education Foundation held a leadership workshop and learning walk at Darchai Menachem’s new location at 432 Rutland Rd.
The event was attended by principals and faculty of 11 chasidishe yeshivos located throughout Brooklyn.
The monthly workshop, given by Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum, principal of Yeshiva Achei Timmim in Pittsburg, PA, is hosted by various Jewish schools that excel in academics, learning and social environment.
Darchei Menachem proved to be a top candidate in choosing this month’s featured school.
Rabbi Rosenblum explained how he has worked with Rabbi Eyal Bension in the past, and knows the tremendous progress Darchei has had through reaching out to every student.
“The principals were impressed with the collaboration between the teachers, paraprofessionals and students, and their excitement in seeing the action first hand,” said Rabbi Rosenblum.
On the importance of such a workshop, Rabbi Bension commented, “The learning walk consisted of principals from wider Jewish academic community, demonstrates the purpose and need of how schools can collaborate to view teaching and learning in each other’s classrooms. This will create effective change and learning where it matters most; in the classroom.”
Parents must respect & talk with respect to their children
Principals should speak with respect to their teachers & secretaries……………
& Teachers must talk respectfully to their students……….
YES we all need respect. some of these teachers have not gotten deep enough in their own private personalities to be able to respect the children, if they cannot yet respect themselves. agreed about girls.
but we all need schools who care about the kids, and their present, and their future. RESPECT on all levels, at all times. Need to be workshops on how to do that.
Wow… What a well written article. I wonder who the author is? The school is an innovative educational environment that we can all be proud of.
we need such a school for girls too. small setting for those who have a hard time functioning in a regular class
Wow! Great article. Very articulate!
rabbi yossi jacobson asked a successful principal what he based his success on, and one of the things he said was: that he believed that the hardest kid in the class was the one to be loved the most…..because they were not loved the precious year’s rebbe. this is Rabbi Bension. He has loved each boy and alot of them were not loved by their previous places. anyone can learn from that. plus, they are making expansions and strides in methods to help and support t hese kids to go to better places. THAT is true mitzvah. Same for all… Read more »
