Rabbi Benzion Laskin, program director at the Chamah organization in New York, recently ended a lecture tour in Central Europe.
His lectures in Russian titled “Ascent following a descent – the secret of the broken tablets” drew a crowds in Germany and the Czech Republic.
In Nuremberg, venue of the trials of German officials involved in the Holocaust and other war crimes, a Shabbaton was held with Laskin as its guest speaker.
It was organized and hosted by the city’s Chabad Shliach Rabbi Eliezer Chitrik.
Participants attentively listened as Laskin shared insights on Jewish history and tradition, how to combat Christian missionary activity in Europe, and strengthening Jewish identity.
