Two inactive grenades were found on Tuesday afternoon in front of 948 Eastern Parkway at the corner of Troy Avenue in Crown Heights.
CSU rushed to the scene at approximately 3:00 PM, and the bomb squad is responding at this time.
The building is a mental health facility and institute for community living.
Police advise to expect traffic delays, road closures and a heavy presence of emergency personnel in the area of Eastern Parkway and Troy Avenue. Use alternate routes to avoid the area and allow for additional travel time, they said.
948 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn NY 11213 “The building is a mental health facility and institute for community living.” Also known as the landlord rented the entire building to a liberal “non profit” being funded directly by NYC and has a bunch of violent emotionally unstable individuals with long criminal records living in this entire building. All the homeless that dangerously panhandle in middle of the street on Eastern Parkway & in middle of the street on Troy Avenue, putting their lives in danger and the lives of everyone in passing cars that almost gets into a car accident trying to swerve around them.
Are tenants at 948 Eastern Parkway (shelter facility)
There was a accident last year where a police van by mistake didn’t see, hit & killed someone that was standing in middle of the street in middle of the night.
It was raining & dark at night in middle of Eastern Parkway.
If only everyone knew how many standard looking, pre war apartment buildings in the CENTER of the Shchunah. Are mental health facilities for the homeless that, they are not from CH, but were dumped here from other neighborhoods & other boroughs in New York City to CH.
Like 948 Eastern Parkway is.
And that is besides many brand new construction buildings recently that either the entire or partial of the building gets rented (and overpaid) by New York City to have the homeless.
Plus a few “migrant shelters” for the “undocumented” that recently opened in South CH.

Most Chabad woman that live in this area know to avoid the South corner of Eastern Parkway by Troy. Because of the almost daily very very very inappropriate comments and inappropriate physical advances that those druggie heroin residents of 948 Eastern Pkwy (And the 2 other corner buildings druggie residents by south side of EP/Troy) make to All woman and girls passing by the area on almost a daily basis.
All 3 of these buildings residents are predators & drug dealers, that should not live in a community of woman and children.

Because people are greedy. They’d rather rent to the city because they get a nice chunk of change guaranteed every month from the city.
Why on earth would they want to rent to families?
You can literally see in one of the pictures on this article a shopping cart with garbage bags that one of the homeless from 948 Eastern Parkway is peddling.
That cart is most likely filled with stolen delivery packages from CH.
