Bochurim Unite for Sydney Kinus

Bochurim shluchim from Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, Australia, gathered in Sydney this past week for an inspirational Kinus.

The Kinus, which began Thursday night and went on through Motzei Shabbos, was organized to give inspiration and chayos to the wider community as well as the bochurim.

On Thursday night Rabbi Gourarie led a farbrengen which lasted until the wee hours of the morning.

The next morning after breakfast there was a shiur given by Sydney’s head Shliach Rabbi Pinchas Feldman on the great zechus and responsibility of being on Shlichus, which was the theme of this year’s Kinus.

Friday night at the Yeshiva and Shabbos day at the home of the Hirshowitz family there were lively farbrengens which attracted a wide variety of people from the community.

The kinus ended with a fantastic Melave Malka at the Barber home, which was highlighted by talks from Rabbi Groner on kashrus and Rabbi Barber on hilchos beis habechira.

“The effect of this Kinus was palpable by everyone in attendance,” said one participant.
