It wasn’t a regular Sunday for the many Chabad bochurim, students of Chabad Yeshivos, that gathered in the main shul at 770 Eastern Parkway to mark 28 Nissan.
While many of them were not born yet on this day in 5751 (1991), they have taken to heart the Rebbe’s emotional call to increase their efforts to bring Moshiach and the ultimate redemption.
Spoken in an anguished voice and couched in uncharacteristically personal terms, the Rebbe’s words deeply shocked the Chassidim present in the Rebbe’s shul and reverberated worldwide.
“How is it that the Redemption has not yet been attained?” the Rebbe cried. “That despite all that has transpired and all that has been done, Moshiach has still not come? What more can I do? I have done all I can to bring the world to truly demand and clamor for the Redemption…
“The only thing that remains for me to do is to give over the matter to you. Do all that is in your power to achieve this thing–a most sublime and transcendent light that needs to be brought down into our world with pragmatic tools… I have done all I can. I give it over to you. Do all that you can to bring the righteous redeemer, immediately! I have done my part. From this point on, all is in your hands…”
At the gathering this week, organized by Shiur Daled of Oholei Torah Zal, participating bochurim agreed to take upon themselves 3 resolutions to help hasten the coming of Moshiach.
The first Hachlota is uniting all Yeshivos by learning each 2 week a Sicha about Moshiach, and then there will be 5 raffles on a dollar from the Rebbe, and more.
The second Hachlota is, to have a class about Moshiach in 770 once a month, with the participation of the Bocherim of the crown heights yeshivos.
The third Hachloto is to print a new publication for Mivtzoim about Moshaich Beoifen hamiskabel (in a accepted way).
Addressing the gathering was Boro Park Shliach Rabbi Aron Ginsburg, and attending it were bochurim were Mesivta Oholei Torah, Oholei Torah Zal, Chovevei Torah Mesivta and Zal, Yeshivas Lubavitch in Queens and from the Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva in Brunoy, France, who were in New York.
Organizers said they are in the midst of contacting other Yeshivos around the world to participate in this project.

sorry but lots of bochurim sat down tolearn Igu”M right after maariv and there was even farbeisin for those that did … and many yeshivos started learning the sichos as in the hachlotos, over 100 names came in committing to learn the 4 sichos … are you one of them? … before you accuse look at facts and take action yourself (which i hope you did)

Kol Hakovod to the Bochrim of Igud Talmidey Hayeshivos, also known as “ATA” and to the Tzfatim Bochrim from Israel for having organised all the Yeshivos to be together Be’Achdus.

Whenever anyone gets (temporarily) excited, the unanswered question as to whether or not the person is really serious or not, is to look at them a moment later to see if an hour later or day later, they are still keeping any of their “new” resolutions. How about a “review” of the Bochrims Resolution, which these same Bochrim had made, last year on 28 Nissan 5772 – did any of their resolutions “get done” at all whatsoever? Moshiach is not only about peace, moshaich is the purpose of the worlds creation. As explained in gemara, that the world was only created for the Messianic era. And since the rebbe has told us, that Moshiach is coming soon, this will be the way to true peace.
If I may suggest that you subscribe to their weekly email, you’ll learn a lot about moshaich, I get it and it’s great!
If everyone here just wants peace, then why must they qualify it with “peace… through the messiah”? Is it that they think he’s the only one that can do it? I hope not, because that attitude ain’t gonna get us anywhere. Or maybe it’s because they want peace – but only under their conditions? Just questions that’s been on my mind lately.
