Renewing a tradition that took place for more than 20 years, Chovevei Torah Mesivta and Beis Medrash will be holding a Yarchei Kallah in preparation for the Yom Tov celebrating Matan Torah.
All Anash are invited to take part in the full day event at 885 Eastern Parkway in the large Zal (study hall) of Chovevei Torah this Sunday beginning at 8:15 am.
The day will start with a Chassidus Shiur by Rabbi Yossi Paltiel, and continue with a day full of Shiurim, with guest speakers such as Rabbi Boruch Leshes – the Rov of the Chabad Monsey Kehillah – who will be discussing the Halachic guidelines regarding internet businesses operating on Shabbos and Yom Tov.
The event’s organizer, Rabbi Mendel Blau, pointed out that this year marks a milestone, for the Yarchei Kallah is being celebrated with a Seudas Mitzvah marking the completion of the entire Shas by a 19 year old student of the Yeshiva.
The Siyum will be graced with Divrei Torah by the Rabbonim, Roshei Yeshivos and Mashpiim of Crown Heights.
Other fascinating shiurim will be delivered by Rabbi Zushe Winner, Rabbi Shmuel Kuperman, Rabbi Yosef Barber and Rabbi Menachem Minsky.
The evening will conclude with an inspiring Farbrengen on “Preparing ourselves for Matan Torah” with a special guest of honor, Rabbi Akiva Wagner, Rosh Yeshiva of Toronto.
May you only go Mchayol el chayol, and give much Nachas to your parents and your entire family!

I started Daf Yomi when I was 12 years old. I am now 16 and in 3 more years i will finish Shas Bavli. Then I will start Shas Yershulmi. I thank Art Scroll! Anyone can do it but only a few actually do it.

i remember in my days there were 2 bochurim doing it in zal but nobody from the hanholo made any such big deal
with the talmidei chachomim in lubavitch today we should have 10 bochurim finishing a year

I heard from a bochur in Williamsburg that finished shas bavli when he became 15,any now he finished already yerushalmi,and he wrote a sefer,and its published by oiz vehudor

Did this Bochur, himself, learn the entire Shas, or is he merely making a SIYUM on Shas through the participation of others. If he is just making a siyum, that is beautiful. If he’s FINISHING the entire thing, that is amazing and unbelievable!

If only I learn in yeshivas that would have showed such a level of appreciation for the accomplishment of the bochurim, I think many more would have competed ahas likkutei sichos and much more.
