A joyous celebration took place in 770 on Wednesday as Yossi Wolowik, a bochur from Los Angeles who is a student in the 770 Yeshiva, made a Siyum for completing the entire set of Likkutei Sichos printed to date.
A lavish Seudah and farbrengen was held, attended by many of his friends and family. Rabbi Arik Raskin of Kehos, Rabbi Reuven Matusof of the Lishka in France and Rabbi Yisroel Noach Vogel addressed the crowd.
The Chasan Hatorah elaborated on the final Sicha he had learned and took a hachlata to immediately begin learning the Likkutei Sichos again, while expressing hope that very soon we will all have Torah Chadasha from the Rebbe.
The Siyum was especially poignant as it was completed on the actual day of Simchas Torah when Jews around the world complete the entire Torah, marking a true ‘Sisu Vsimchu’ and double celebration.
“You can’t study Torah without the Rebbe’s Likutei Sichos,” says Yossi Wolowik. “In fact, how can one even go on in life without learning the Rebbe’s Torah. It’s an invaluable gift.”
