Mrs. Bluma Leah Lokshin, one of the eldest Chabad women alive and matriarch of a large Chabad family, passed away on Shabbos, 21 Tammuz 5773.
She was 103 and lived in Crown Heights for many years.
Her husband, the chossid R’ Mordechai Dovber Lokshin, passed away in 1978.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granchildren, many of whom are on shlichus.
She is survived by her children Mrs. Rivka Wilhelm, Mrs. Sara Sanowicz, and Mrs. Malka Rosenfeld, all of Crown Heights; Mrs. Tziporah Sufrin – London, England; Mrs. Miriam Cunin – Los Angeles, CA and Zalman Lokshin – Crown Heights.
The levaya will be held Sunday 2:00 pm from Shomrei Hadas Chapels at 14th Ave in Brooklyn and will be passing 770 Eastern Parkway at 2:30 pm.

Mrs. Bluma Loksen helped many Yidden escape from Russia, helping them obtain passports. She helped her cousin Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson on this life saving project. Many chassidim owe their lives to her for her heroic efforts.

You were such a special women!
She is the elter-Bobbe of my children. She raised children and grandchildren who were above all, truly ehrliche yidden, yirei shamayim, chasidim who are filled with aidelkeit, chochma and chessed. I feel privileged to be part of her family, albeit through marriage. May she be a gutte better for her distinguished children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great – great granchildren.
