Many people gathered in the offices of Merkaz Chesed to donate blood.
The blood drive, one of many initiatives by Merkaz Chesed, was arranged by Rabbi Lieder, a community activist, and director of the organization. The drive took place in their new location on Kingston Avenue between Lincoln and St. Johns place. Lieder said that the center is there to provide help to anyone who needs it.
200 pints of blood were donated.
