The Rebbe’s call to make Hakhel gatherings even in the last moments of the year is the inspiration behind a grand Alumni Reunion for anyone who attended Beth Rivkah Academy of Montreal.
Hundreds of former students will spend an unforgettable afternoon of warmth, laughter and inspiration on Sunday 24 Elul 5769 – September 13th 2009.
The program, for girls and women of all ages, will take place from 1:00-3:00 pm at 5001 Vezina, Montreal, Quebec.
While they mingle and reminisce with old friends and schoolmates, a tasty lunch will be served.
There will be entertainment and exhibits of old Beth Rivkah photos, memorabilia, and class pictures by year.
A beautiful piece of jewelry, valued at $1000, (sponsored by Mrs. Julie Gniwisch) and other gifts will be raffled off.
“There is no such thing as an ex Beth Rivkah girl, because Beth Rivkah is a family, not just a school,” said Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz, principal of the school for 36 years.
“Each student made a difference when she was in school, and now once again her participation will enhance the event.”
To R.S.V.P. email your name (and maiden name) and the approximate school years to alumni@bethrivkah.com or call Simcha with the information at 514-731-3681 X37.
Those who cannot attend in person may send in a short greeting to friends or staff members, which will be posted on a special bulletin board. Email them to alumni@bethrivkah.com or post in the comments below.

I agree that there wasn’t enough publicity before, oh well 🙁
But I heard they are planning to organize a bus from NY, for 60$ round-trip, leaving Motzei Shabbos and returning shortly after the reunion, for the convenience of the BRM branch in NY.
Anyone have any information about this? I guess I’ll email them.
I’m an alum student, and I know that Rabbi Minkowitz has been trying to track down all students and their email addresses for the past year for this event! They’ve been emailing me for a while already.. It’s obvious from the comments that you really all love Bais Rivkah and that’s why you’re disappointed that you didn’t know… now that you do know, please come!! Somehow we all manage to make it to Simchos- like lchaims etc, even with one day’s notice, so 10 days is fair advance notice, dans mon opinion 🙂 if you can’t make it, at least… Read more »
I’ve heard about this all over- word of mouth, emails, facebook invites…
I’m an alumni of BR, living in Montreal. Not having heard about this, I’ll be out of town. Too bad…..Were there invitations?
Thank you for telling us 10 days before the event.
Nice going.
I’m also an alumni and I wasn’t invited. Who are the organizers? Why am I not on the mailing list?
I’m a Bais Rivah Montreal Alumni (living in NY) – how come this is the first I hear of this…??!!
