The boys’ football league at Lubavitch Educational Center in Miami discovered after a game last week that the referee is Jewish – and had never put on Tefillin before.
The referee, who said his Hebrew name is Mordechai Simcha, got to put on Tefillin with the help of the boys and they celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on the football field.
