Bais Shmuel Chabad Shul in Crown Heights is moving temporarily to the Chovevei Torah Yeshiva building on Eastern Parkway, beginning this Shabbos.
The move comes after the Shul was informed that their current location at the Jewish Children’s Museum was no longer available to them.
Beginning from this Shabbos, Parshas Toldos, the Shul will be hosted at 885 Eastern Parkway, Chovevi Torah, in the upstairs Zal.
The Shul is currently developing plans for a state-of-the-art new building and community center located on the corner of Union Street and Albany Avenue. They plan to begin the site excavation and foundation work by Adar/Nissan with a forecast to complete the building within 20-26 months.
Rabbi Moshe Pinson, founder and president of Bais Shmuel Chabad, is grateful to the Chovevei Torah Hanhallah who are going out of their way to accommodate the Shul while they await the completion of the new building, he said.
“This arrangement is the culmination of lots and lots of work by the Board to find a suitable option with both location and sufficient space for our members. This was our first choice, and the best outcome,” the Board of Bais Shmuel said.
The Shul and facilities have undergone refurbishment to accommodate the congregation, which will use the Main Zal, the women’s section, as well as some of the classrooms to host youth programs.
Bais Shmuel will be sponsoring monthly Hakhel Shabbatons for the bochurim of Mesivta and Zal in appreciation for the accommodations, they said.
“We are thankful to hanhola of Tomchei Temimim, and in particular to Rabbis Sternberg, Minsky and Baron for working with us to make this possible,” the board said. “We are very much looking forward to completing our building and moving into our permanent home on Albany Avenue.”

Boruch Hashem Beautiful nice to see true authentic Ahavas Yisroel between establishments organizations profit and non for profit.
הם יראו וכן יעשה.
Special thanks to Moshe Pinson and Shimmy Schaff for making it possible.
Chovevi needed the refurbishment.
