By Bais Rivkah students:
Dear Rebbe,
Since Rosh Chodesh Shvat my Morah has been counting down with my class the days that were left until Yud Shvat. As we counted down the days, we learned how our Rebbe became our Rebbe on Yud Shvat, and how a Chossid is Mekushar to a Rebbe. It was easy for me to understand how my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles connected to our Rebbe in the past. They had the zchus of going by the Rebbe to receive dollars, coins, kentaism, and participating in Farbrengens.
Today, in the present, how can we, Bais Rivkah students, be connected to the Rebbe? Together with our Morahs, we brainstormed how we can be מקושר today. Our class came up with so many practical ideas. When we watch Rebbe videos, sing and listen to Niggunim, read stories of the Rebbe, learn Sichos, and say the Rebbe’s Kappital we strengthen our connection to the Rebbe. We can have Ahavas Yisroel, do other Mitzvos the Rebbe was passionate about, and visit the Ohel with a prepared Pan- all ways that we are being Mekushar to our Rebbe today, in the present. Of course, all this we’re doing for what we most want in the future, to bring Moshiach and be reunited with our Rebbe.
In honor of Yud Shvat, we then decorated three different flowers to represent our hiskasrus in the past, present and future. Our English teachers helped us express all the ways we connect to the Rebbe.
How proud I was to walk into school this morning on Yud Shvat to see our own Basi L’Gani garden of flowers made by me and my friends decorating the walls of Bais Rivkah.
Today I know better understand how I can build on our connection to the Rebbe from the past. My actions today make my connection to the Rebbe even stronger so that we will be זוכה to see Moshiach NOW!
Thank you Morah Baily Vail for coordinating this special project for our students in and ג, כתה א, ב.
