Mazal Tov to our dear 8th grade Bais Rivkah Graduates of תש”פ!
On the first day of school, we talked about hard work, striving to be the best you, developing our מדות, and the theme of our year – tipping the scale – doing the final mitzvah needed to bring the Geula. This graduating class has remained focused with these ideals always forefront in their minds.
Our Graduation was a celebration of their accomplishments! Our dedicated staff was determined to make this year’s graduation stand out, not because this was the best we could do, but it was going to be the best!
Erev Shabbos the girls farbrenged in the backyard of the home of their teacher, Mrs. Deitsch. They listened to Rabbi Samuels speak of the pride in being a Bas Chabad and then they learned the Rebbe’s letter addressed specifically to Bais Rivkah graduates. After this beautiful hachana the girls went to the Rebbe’s room where they read a פ”נ beseeching Hashem to send us our fervent wish – the Geula Shlaima.
Shabbos afternoon the girls davened Mincha in 770.
“שמחה פורץ גדר” was the pulse of graduation day! Our “Walk Through” graduation ceremony was a true celebration. Each graduate, looking regal in her gown and tassel, was greeted by her teachers as they walked through a beautifully decorated, carefully planned procession. The music filled the air as we all, parents and teachers, beamed with pride.
Our festivities culminated Sunday evening as the girls listened to a message from their principals, Mrs. Gitty Rosenfeld and Mrs. Leah Jacobson. They danced, and then they shared their thoughts and life lessons learned this year.
Our girls have grown and matured, and as we make a cheshbon of the goals we set out to accomplish we can proudly say – “Rebbe, ראו גדולים שגדלנו!”
Thank you to all the eighth-grade teachers and staff, especially Mrs. Esther Wilhelm, for helping to create such a beautiful atmosphere. Thank you to the dedicated parents whose help made this possible – Mrs. Hartman, Mrs. Futerfas, and Mrs. Boas, and to the Bais Rivkah P.T.A. for their help with our party entertainment.
