Nurit and Yaakov Chaim Abitbul, Lubavitcher residents of the northern Israeli city of Tzfas, gave birth last week to a healthy baby girl, and the whole community is rejoicing.
They have been married for 21 years and remained without a child.
“What kept them going was a bracha the Rebbe gave them in 5751 – 1991 that they will be blessed with offspring,” a family friend from Chicago told COLlive.com.
That blessing was partially fulfilled when a daughter was born to the Abitbuls, but passed away shortly afterwards.
“It dashed their hopes for a while,” a friend related, speaking about Rabbi Abitbul, who works as a Mashpia at the local Chabad Yeshiva, and his wife, who works at Machon Alte women’s institute.
“But their belief never faded, and now they are extremely excited and filled with happiness and gratitude to Hashem for this miracle.”
