בשנת 1807, חתונה גדולה מתקיימת בעיירה ז’לובין בבלרוס. שרה נכדתו של האדמו’ר הזקן, מתחנת עם אליעזר, נכדו של רבי לוי יצחק מברדיצ’ב. מן הסתם תוכלו לדמיין את השמחה הגדולה שם. במהלך החגיגות, מברך האדמו’ר את מחותנו ואומר לו: לחיים!! שתבורך בגשמיות וברוחניות! עונה לו הברדיצ’בר: האם שמעתי אותך נכון?! אמרת בגשמיות? לפני רוחניות? איך יתכן?האדמו’ר הזקן אומר לו אני לא הראשון שאמר זאת, בפרשת “ויצא”, יעקב אבינו אומר לרבש”ע “וְנָתַן לִי לֶחֶם לֶאֱכֹל וּבֶגֶד לִלְבֹּשׁ וְשַׁבְתִּי בְשָׁלוֹם אֶל בֵּית אָבִי וְהָיָה ה’ לִי לֵאלֹהִים” הנה יעקב מבקש גשמיות לפני רוחניות. מזה למדנו שכשיהודי מקבל מה’ גשמיות, הוא כבר מרומם את זה לרוחניות.–יהי רצון שה’ יברך את כולכם בכל מקום שאתם, בגשמיות, בנחת בפרנסה וכמובן ברוחניות.שבוע טוב בשורות טובות. לחיים!–(Recorded before Shabbos)

I’m really impressed with Avraham Fried. He has a real Eidelkeit to him which is hard to find by modern singers.
I look up to him as a true Chosid that inspires others with his songs and at the same time doesn’t forget about his own Avodas hashem.
