Jewish Educational Media (JEM) has restored the audio of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Farbrengen on Yud Shevat 5711.
It was provided to the Vaad Hatmimim organization to make available to Chabad-Lubavitch Yeshivos, Mesivtas and Smicha programs worldwide.
Shevat 10 is the yahrzeit of the 6th Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn (1950) and the day his successor, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, accepted his position as the 7th Rebbe (1951).
The audio was originally released for Yud Shevat 5750, celebrating 40 years of the Rebbe’s leadership, and has now been restored as a part of the restoration project sponsored by the Rohr family foundation.
A Yiddish transcript has also been provided by JEM to assist in learning the Maamar and Farbrengen.
As part of the special initiatives for Yud Shevat – 60 Shana, Vaad Hatmimim will be publishing a special Kovetz that will contain diaries, rare pictures and manuscripts.
On Sunday, Shevat 9, Vaad Hatmimim will holding a “Panel of 60 years” with Chassidim from each decade sharing their experiences of their time spent by the Rebbe.
There will also be a special video and a memento distributed to all participants.
A full schedule of the days surrounding Yud Shevat will be made available in the next few days.
