A woman attempted to stab a student at the Ozar Hatorah Jewish school in Toulouse, France on Tuesday, the location where an Islamist gunman killed four children and a teacher last March, Israel Radio reported.
Nobody was injured in the incident, according to the report.
Police said the attacker was insane and had a record of prior hospitalizations.
Instead of everyone getting all fired up about their opinions which they’re absolutely SURE is the right one, let’s just say “what’s the world coming to?” and move on. Without arguing.
It is frightening to think that people like this can walk into Jewish schools and attack children. Here in South Africa we have what is called CSO which is Community Saftey Organisation where parents protect their shuls and schools by watching and guarding the shuls and schools on a daily basis. The parents go for training and BH it has definetly helped and prevented attacks and other crimes. Maybe it is time for the rest of the world to do the same. In your dreams! What is the likelihood of having your gun primed and ready when the bad guy attacks? or maybe if you ask him nicely, he’ll wait while you go get it and prime it. or maybe you always carry it ready, risking an accident or use in an angry moment? and even if you actually succeed in killing the assailant, how much will you have to pay the lawyers to prove that you acted in self defense and are not guilty of manslaughter?
That school should have all its mezuzos checked! Too many things happening there…

May I suggest that you ask those who, faced with assault or home invasion,
have saved their own lives, those of their family members, and even strangers what peaceful purpose a gun has.

Knives can be used be used for peaceful purposes. What peaceful use does a gun have?
How many stabbings do we have to put up with before we realize, the only solution is to ban all knives.
to number 1 I think you mean “she”. The attacker was a woman.
While disturbing, this may not have anything to do with the antisemitism in France. The Psychs simply diagnosed the woman as not posing a danger to herself or others. Nobody does their job perfectly, and they were wrong. Realize that if they are too quick to institutionalize a person the authorities are open to charges of kidnapping. As frequently as it may occur, the evidence of insanity/danger must be overwhelming.
