Atlantic City Joint is ‘OK’

Jerusalem Glatt Kosher Middle Eastern Restaurant in Ventnor City, New Jersey, is now under strict Kosher supervision of OK Labs.

Located less than a mile outside of Atlantic City, the restaurant has recently undergone some major changes and upgraded its kosher supervision to the OK Kashrus Organization.

Established in 1935, the OK Kosher Certification is one of the world’s most respected symbols of kosher approval and is headed by Rabbi Don Yoel Levy.

“Atlantic City attracts Jewish people of all backgrounds and affiliations,” says owner Jacob Ben-Shitrit. “We decided that if we align ourselves with the highest standard of kashrus then we can satisfy every customer’s religious requirements.”

Chabad’s Shliach near Atlantic City Rabbi Avrohom Rapoport is, for one, pleased with the new supervision.

“I often get calls from frum visitors asking where they can get kosher food,” Rapoport told COLlive. “I think this would be a helpful service. But I would like to specify that I am not connected with the ownership of the restaurant.”
