Catching a red-eye flight back to JFK after a business meeting in Los Angeles? Landing in Newark at 5:50 a.m., after a 12-1/2 hour flight from visiting the grandkids in Israel? Leaving for LaGuardia too early to eat breakfast before going on that long-awaited Saint Martin Island vacation?
Have no fear, Fresko Green Label is here!
Now the estimated 1.5 million kosher travelers who fly domestically and internationally from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports, annually, can avail themselves of a large variety of kosher prepared food options packaged under the Fresko and Yummy Sandwich labels, under STAR-K Kosher supervision.
No longer do you have to subsist on pretzels and candy that, thankfully, are marked with a reliable kosher symbol!
The STAR-K certified Fresko/Yummy Sandwich menu includes items such as: grilled chicken salad, southern honey BBQ chicken wrap, fresh roasted turkey sandwich, Cajun turkey sandwich, grilled chicken shawarma wrap, herb grilled chicken sandwich, tuna salad on greens, tuna salad wrap, tuna fish sandwich, grilled tofu wrap, organic quinoa salad, layered Capelli D’Angelo salad, Greek feta wrap, shaved fresh mozzarella sandwich, classic egg salad sandwich, and yogurt parfaits. All breads are Pas Yisroel; all dairy items are Cholov Yisroel.

Bon voyage and bon appetite!
I have visited the Fresko plant on several occasions formally & I found the Kashrut, quality & freshness impeccable. For those that are machmirin – well, as you well know that can be a lonely place – hatzlacha! For a stam halachic yid it is “ganz fein”!
No kosher for ElAl travelers !?
Greatest thing since sliced bread!:)
Travelers to Israel leave from Terminal B (ElAl) or C(United).
Why would they put the kosher food in Terminal A?
To all who complain about every issue available… Say thank u to the company for putting in the food into airport terminals… When I had a flight cancelation (was in airport for a total of 16hours)… I would pay every dollar to have a kosher meal… And yes… I paid for one apple 1.79
Its not about the kosher companies that charge a lot.. It’s about the airport
For all the kvetchers: Apples are kosher even on Pesach!
I think this is for the very rich and very starving only.
My husband recently needed to buy a pareve sandwich and it was around $14!!!!!
Does anyone know if tuna is bishul Yisroel?
27 are you a rav that you are paskening?
Each person will do as s/he chooses. People who use only Lubavitch hashgocho still have pareve and dairy choices.
Will there more openings in other locations (Terminals)? In Laguardia I travel mainly in Terminal D. I wouldn’t mind getting food to eat before my flight in Terminal D
Anything gluten free???
Fabulous news wish these could be put into every Duane trade in the city.
It was amazing to get great kosher food at the airport. It’s fresh and delicious
Think of all the Jews who might buy this kosher food, just b/c it’s packaged nicely and looks “interesting,” and thereby get kosher food into them!! YEAH!!! This is all such great news! I pray the food stays fresh and that this venture is a great success.
Kudos!!! Glad its finally here!!
Fresh delicious hearty sandwiches have been available for a few years now. Thank you to the one who works hard to make sure it’s available!
as we’re already discussing kosher meals at airports which is a great plus for all of us who have been waiting for this to happen,
how good are the hechsherim on flights out of all New York Airports?
There is no chabad source for lubavitcher shechita. Chassidim can eat from any shochet who is a yerei shamayim.
Great news!! Congratulations!
I THINK THIS IS THE BEST NEWS. THAT WE HAVE KOSHER FOOD IN THE AIRPORT KOSHER TRAVELERS DESPERATLY NEED THIS THANK YOU FRESKO FOR KEEPING US FROM GOING HUNGRY
For 99.999% who want something with a hashgacha this is great news. Stop bashing it because its not for you. Your the yotze min haclal.
It’s fresh, very tasty and much healthier than I imagined it would be.
Anyone know what these sandwiches cost in the airport?
Thanks to Rabbi Zevi Wineberg of long island city for his strong relationship with Fresko its down the block from their chabad house
baloney Sinat Chinam. instead of saying wow there is now kosher !!!! you come with all your Bull
I guess
some are just never happy
so totally agree with knocking the naysayers to mini mice.
so agree with 15 & 16 and above those – some of you really really need to come out from mommys basement and smell the fresh air.
All airport food is expensive, but the kosher items are not more expensive than the equivalent treife ones.
we’ve seen these for a while. ask your rav if star k is kosher. if the rav says for you its ok, and the rav is reliable. bh.
Hi, there People-Who-Don’t-Want-to-Trust-This-Food!
My message to you is:
Pretend you never read this article and pack your own food like you always did.
This is absolutely wonderful news for the Global Jewish Community, it allows people an option to be able to eat a hearty kosher meal in the airport or on the plane. Readers should be happy about kosher going mainstream, and not impose their own restrictions (some of which have no basis at all) to the rest of the population. Star-K being not reliable? seriously? and lets look at the greater good that this brings, not concerning about Pas Yisroel or not. We Lubavitchers need to see what this does for the Jews overall, and find out the answers to your… Read more »
miracles do happen
Hats off to Rabbi Zevy Wineberg of Chabad LIC!
what about el al travelers from terminal b?
I think col needs to open a customer service line. Every time they post a news story people comment with questions directed at the company or org that the story is about. Attn people: col is a news website they are not the customer service nor the the hashgocho for this particular business. If you keep kosher than you do your research to see if you like star k or not and google the business for business questions
Terminal 1 ?!?!?
about time something like this happened. this will be a real help to all kosher keeping travelers!
If you want to be machmir good for you. Don’t impose your so called frumkeit on someone else.
stark is not reliable &you know its going to be a rip off price
Star K never apologized for being mmachil Treifa-Neveilo to yidden on a cruise !!!
Since when do Lubavitcher’s eat Star K meat?
Care needs to be taken with Star-K Pas Yisroel. They often rely on the light bulb heter for Pas Yisroel.
You should ask your Rov as to whether Star-K Pas Yisroel is acceptable.
What is the hechsher and shechitah for The chicken and shawarma wraps etc?
Will they have fresh items Isru Chag Pesach (Sunday) for travelers who are going back to Israel or Europe?
wonderful news.
