My wedding is next week. I should be planning, preparing. Instead I am sitting here in the cold and dark ashes that just days ago, was my home.
It was the middle of the night when the fire began to consume everything we owned. One by one, we pulled my family members from the flames, including my disabled father. There we stood on the sidewalk, watching it all burn down. We were blessed to be alive. But that was all we had.
My little siblings are traumatized. My mother is home from work, scrambling to take care of them and find a place for us to live. What will be with me, the chassan, you ask?
We don’t know.
There is no money left. Everything my family purchased for the wedding is gone. My kallah and I have no home to go to.
Maybe, G-d forbid, we will have to call off the wedding. And maybe, someone will see my fundraising campaign and be G-d’s messenger to help us.
Sincerely,
Nattan.
There is a saying and I know after my fire many years ago, we were blessed with money that we did not expect. May you be blessed with GEFEN, gezunt, parnassa, and nachas
