Over 80 Shluchim from across Argentina gathered in the beautiful coastal town of Miramar, Argentina, where they spent two days learning and growing together. The event was filled with concrete discussions that addressed all areas of Shlichus life.
The first day of workshops focused on the Shliach’s personal life, with Rabbi Dovid Weitman, Shliach to S. Paulo, Brazil and guest Shliach at the Kinus, speaking about the concept of Hakhel and how it applies to one’s personal hiskashrus to the Rebbe, family life, and Chinuch of children. He also shared numerous directives he received from the Rebbe about Shlichus, which were extremely insightful for the Shluchim gathered. At night, Rabbi Weitman spent hours farbrenging with the Shluchim, sharing his personal experiences and insights.
Throughout the day, there were numerous workshops on various elements of a Shliach’s personal life. There was even a “speed networking” event, where within an hour, the Shluchim conversed with 20 of their peers, getting to learn and share what they’ve learned from their experiences on Shlichus with each other.
The second day of the Kinus was focused on the Shliach’s community life. Rabbi Weitman once again utilized the Hakhel theme, this time explaining how to properly engage Men, Women, and Children in one’s community with specialized programming, all based on the personal responses he received from the Rebbe.
Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, head Shliach of Argentina, held a workshop sharing the vision for the joint efforts of all Argentina Shluchim in targeting specific areas of outreach, such as children, teen, and college campus programming, committing to new projects that will be worked on. Tzach and The Shluchim Office of Argentina presented upcoming programming tools to help Shluchim enhance their Shlichus.
The highlight of the Kinus was undoubtedly the banquet. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as Rabbi Mendy Grunblatt, MC of the banquet, opened the evening with a live stream from the Ohel. It was a deeply moving moment as the Shluchim watched their collective Pan being read by a representative at the Ohel on their behalf.
Following this powerful experience, a special edition of the Miramar Tanya was printed in honor of the Kinus, with Mr. Eduardo Elsztain having the privilege of printing the first pages and Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt led the crowd in studying Chapter 32 as customary.
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Chairman of the Kinus Hashluchim and Vice Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, joined live to offer words of encouragement to the Shluchim. He shared unique responses from the Rebbe regarding Regional Kinusim, specifically in South America. He spoke about the dynamic shift that has taken place in Shlichus, as the focus has shifted to getting community members involved in the mission of reaching every single Jew.
Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, who represented Merkos in person at the Kinus, gave the Keynote address, emphasizing that our job as Shluchim is to prepare the world for Moshiach. He stressed that it’s not just about being more successful or analyzing our accomplishments but about following the Rebbe’s lead and simply reaching and impacting every single Yid.
Rabbi Mendy Gurevitch shared his thoughts on the importance of a Shliach’s influence beyond what he does officially. It’s the moments when he’s living and interacting with those around him that leave a lasting impression and make a real impact.
The event also featured two inspiring short films produced by The Moshiach Office at Merkos 302, translated into Spanish for the Event. The videos illustrated the power of one mitzvah and how it can have a ripple effect, touching one person and then the next.
After the formal dinner, the Shluchim gathered together for a warm Farbrengen. They encouraged each other in their Shlichusin, sharing stories of success and challenges, and empowering one another with renewed energy for their vital work back home.
