As their fathers were celebrating the gala banquet of the International Kinus Hashluchim convention in New York, a group of their sons held a parallel event that mirrored the adult’s program.
As has become the custom in the yeshiva, Sunday night, students of Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim in Antwerp were invited to a nearby event hall where a festive evening was organized especially for them.
The goal was to have the students, most of whom are the sons of Shluchim across Europe and the former Soviet Union, revel in their merit of being part of the Rebbe’s army, organizers said.
The bochurim represented 24 countries from around the world, and the Banquet included its very own “Roll Call.”
Much time and effort was invested in arranging a beautiful and inspiring event, this year with the theme “a lebediker sign.”
Throughout the banquet, fascinating multimedia clips were played. The bochurim joined in singing and dancing to live music with the singer Shamiel and musician Yosef Barami.
Participating was Rabbi Aharon Shif, Chief Rabbi of the Machzikei Hadas frum communities in Antwerp, and the Shliach Rabbi Shabtai Slavaticki, as well as the Hanhallah of the Yeshiva and many Shluchim.
