The second year after its opening, the Lubavitch Mesivta of Antwerp already boasts over 30 students – mostly Shluchim from all over Europe.
Besides the high level of learning and Chasidishkeit, the yeshiva is unique with its individual attention to the each bochur and the emphasis on the importance of Shlichus.
In honor of the Kinus Hashluchim weekend, while their fathers spent time in Crown Heights taking part in the convention, the Hanhola decided to highlight this occasion by arranging a special and beautiful banquet for the bochurim. The event also served also as an official Chanukas Habayis of the new Zal.
The banquet took place in the newly opened Zal, with the students seated at round tables with special place cards depicting the flag of their country.
The event was conducted by the Shliach Mendy Tubul of Paris, France who addressed the bochurim about the importance of Shnas Hakhel and shared fascinating shlichus stories.
The Rosh yeshiva Rabbi Menachem Mendel Twardowicz elaborated on the special shlichus of the bochurim – limud hatorah and about their big responsibility of Having a Koch in Nigleh and Chasidus and through that – conquering the world.
Next were two representatives from the bochurim who shared personal stories from their own shlichus.
The Shliach Mendy Cohen of Montreal, Canada spoke about the responsibility of being a shliach and how every bochur represents the Rebbe personally.
Hatomim Berel Slavaticki of Antwerp, Belgium encouraged the bochurim to go out and spread the Rebbe’s message throughout Antwerp.
The energy of the room soared even higher as the roll call began, with each bochur standing proud and waving their flags as their country was announced, followed by uplifting dancing.
The event was coordinated by Bochurim Mendy Beer, Mendy Cohen, Berel Slavaticki, Mendy Tubul and Shimi Vales.
