What a moving piece! Was so touched to read about this less known side of Amos. No surprise that it takes a shliach of the Rebbe to bring out the spark in every Jew and a soulful writer to capture it in words.

When reading A Tale of Love and Darkness, I was able to pick up on the few hints he gave as to his teacher’s identity. I remember my excitement mounting as I put together who it was. Imagine: such a vivid portrait of The Rebbe’s cousin. A must read. I\\

A very moving story. Feeling an untouchable depth. Feeling Amos’s connections which he – the author himself – would probably find difficult to put into words. And Schneerson’s quote “But who is to say?” says a lot to all of us readers, makes us realize to ask more of “who is to say?” than judging someone. A special story. So well written, thank you!!

Wow! What a beautiful and moving story, how incredible are the Rebbe’s shluchim who are able to see beyond and form such precious connections with Jews who others may dismiss as having very secular attitudes
