Aliya’s annual Shabbaton was held this year in beautiful East Hampton in Long Island, NY.
A group from Crown Heights’ Aliya institute spent the first Shabbos of the month of Elul with the Baumgarten family – the local shluchim – and their community.
Kabbolas Shabbos was held with the Chabad House minyan which was located at the beautiful ocean front home of a wonderful and generous family who greeted all with open arms and without judgment.
It was enormously inspiring to see people of such stature happily open their home to a Shabbos minyan and hold Torah and Mitzvos so close to their hearts.
Following davening Aliya joined the Baumgarten family’s inspirational Shabbos table which quite generously hosted over fifty people that night.
One of the guests at the table was a dentist from Brooklyn Heights who remembered Rabbi Feiglin and some of the Aliya members sitting around the table from many years ago when Aliya was located in Brooklyn Heights. It was a warm reunion and brought back happy memories to all.
in venice you never played and in the hamptons you play … not fair!
