Sunday night, May 20th, was the Gala Bat Mitzvah Celebration and Dinner, marking the Bat Mitzvah of 14 girls, members of the South Broward Bat Mitzvah Club.
The Bas Mitzvah, a most elegant and joyous affair, was held at Chabad of South Broward Headquarters in Hallandale Beach. The club is headed by Mrs. Dassy Tennenhaus and coordinating the event was her husband Rabbi Levi Tennenhaus.
MC was Miss Sheva Esther Tennenhaus, who introduced each girl, and colorfully described the virtues of each Bat Mitzvah celebrant.
Each Bat Mitzvah girl recited a beautiful Dvar Torah, bringing joy, nachas and satisfaction to the parents and family members of the Bat Mitzvah girls.
Many grandparents, siblings, and other family members participated in this great Simcha, including a number of relatives who flew in for this occasion.
“These girls will face the future as committed, knowledgeable and confident Jewish women who are proud of their unique identities,” said Mrs. Tennenhaus.
“Aside from continuing a vibrant heritage from the past, they will form a new generation of leaders and active participants in the Jewish community.”
