As the population grows south of Empire Blvd in Crown Heights, so too do their needs.
Young families are moving into newly built condominiums on Lefferts Avenue, Brooklyn Avenue and the surrounding areas.
East New York Avenue too sees an increase in new families, as does Maple Street, Midwood and beyond – to name but a few of the new areas that have recently grown.
To cater to their daily spiritual needs, a Minyan has been established in the Aliya building at 525 East New York Avenue.
This Minyan begins at 7:00am promptly, Monday through Friday, and is perfect for the working man who needs to start the day bright and early with a cup of coffee, a group of friendly young Baalei Batim, and an invigorating Minyan.
The Shacharis minyan is apolitical. I don’t know what minyan you are refering to.
was there justa few times – kinda uncomforable with the right leaning yechi tones – if they wud stay center or neutral they’d be more welcoming. Don’t u guys get it – most chabadniks while symphathetic to the issue are plain not in the mood or in state of mind to keep walking into that mantra. great article aron!
Nice article, Aron! #16, I like your comment! LOL!!
Are there enough people to start a second minyan at 7:45-800am?
this shule is netzigim free and politics free 🙂
Shabbos is the regular Aliya minyan for the Aliya boys – this Minyan during the week is Monday through Friday for the working chevrah.
Thanks. I’m tempted. I may try and come. But for working people it really needs to start on time…
How about shabbos?
at that time in the morning there is usually always space on that block of ENY, or around the corner on Brooklyn
if you had parking you could get more people?
we would love to start @ 7 with ten people – so if u could be our #10 @ 7 we’d love it!
sounds refreshing!
I’ll be there – you can count me in!
good luck!!
the picture is an artist’s rendition of how it will look when Aliya had enough money to renovate the Shul area – it still looks very nice but not as beautiful as the pic in the article…
hatzlacha
I used to go to this Minyan when I lived on ENY Ave – they are a great bunch of guys – I would advise anyone who lives nearby to try it out!!
I go there (almost) every day, and it is really convenient and starts pretty promptly – but they are guaranteed to finish by 7:30ish which is great
Please come and support our Minyan – every extra person helps!!
another shul even more nitzigim!!!!!!!!
