The Jewish Community of Marlboro, Manalapan and Freehold, NJ celebrated with close to 300 participants at the Chabad Purim Ball, titled “Purim At The Chocolate Factory.”
The Ballroom decorated in The Chocolate Factory theme by Shluchos Leah Aber and Mimi Shifren, offered non stop chocolate desserts on display after an elaborate dinner catered by Park East Kosher Caterers.
With live music and an open Purim bar and L’chaims (supervised), the Purim dancing with community members continued with unbelievable energy and inspiration by the Bochurim of the Manalapan/Marlboro Smicha Program led by Rabbi Levi Schapiro.
The Purim Ball highlighted a Purim Costume Pageant judged by three Judges choosing the most innovative children’s and adult costumes. The winners were: Triplets dressed as the Three Little Bears, and the Levy family dressed as a pirates.
The Chabad Hebrew School children (under the leadership of Rabbi Shmuly and Moushkie Volovick) performed their “Purim Rap Song” which told the Purim story in a most upbeat and amazing production.
Teenage participants enjoyed a wide array of computer and video games provided by Games 2 U entertainment.
The annual Chabad Purim Ball is Co-ordinated by Rabbi Avrohom Bernstein, and Rebbitzen Tova Chazanow.
