R’ Avrohom Gerlitzky, longtime beloved Magid Shiur in Oholei Torah, received an exciting and meaningful gift in honor of his 75th birthday on Tuesday.
At a Farbrengen and birthday party organized by the bochurim in his Shiur Daled class at Oholei Torah, R’ Avrohom was presented with a series of gifts – including a luxury recliner, a teshura with the answers he has received from the Rebbe, and more.
The gift which was most meaningful, and a highlight of the event, was a thick, leather-bound Sefer with gold embossed lettering which the bochurim presented to their beloved teacher.
The Sefer is volume 3 of a series written by Reb Avrohom, titled “Yemos HaMoshiach B’Halacha.” The Seforim are compilations of writings by Rabbi Gerlitzky, which are included each week in the Kovetz Haoros booklets which he oversees of the writings by his students.
The writings in the 3 volume set are a compilation of Rabbi Gerlitzky’s life’s work: in-depth insights on the practical Halachos for the times of Moshiach.
The first two volumes have already been printed, and the third volume has just been completed, and will be going to print next week.
Bochurim alumni of Rabbi Gerlitzky who publish his works arranged for the first copy to be made especially for him in time for his 75th birthday, which they presented to him at the event.
Rabbi Gerlitzky was emotional and grateful for the special and meaningful gift.
