Chassidim were stunned on Chof Ches Nissan 5751 when they heard the Rebbe’s words: “I have done everything in my power to bring Moshiach. Now I leave it in your hands to do everything you can.” The Rebbe’s earnest pleading invigorated the chassidim into a flurry of activity of hachlatos, mivtzoyim, and shlichus.
Yet here we are, 31 years later, with the Rebbe’s demand still unfulfilled. We must make a renewed effort to carry out the Rebbe’s cry of “Tut altz vos ir kent!” especially in these days when the darkness of galus seems overwhelming. We chassidim of today must strive to bring an unprecedented flow of zechusim until Hashem has no choice but to reveal Moshiach and bring Geula.
The Rebbe’s shluchim are on the frontlines of this mission, working with mesiras nefesh and dedication every moment of their day to inspire that one last mitzvah that will tip the scales and bring Moshiach. As they run from shiur to Hebrew school, shul to house visit, the burden of finances rests heavily and constantly on their minds.
Partnering in their shlichus and enabling them to reach even more Yiddishe neshamos has never been easier. Dailydollar.org makes contributing to shluchim as simple as a few clicks of a button. Signing up means donating just one dollar a day to a shliach anywhere in the world. It is a small enough amount to make little difference to your pocket, but the dollars add up to a check that shluchim receive with grateful tears in their eyes.
“It may not solve all his problems,” says Rabbi Berel Lazar, chief rabbi of Russia, “but it tells him that he is not alone. That there are people out there who care for him and support him. Having this support makes a big difference for the shliach.”
In a sicha on Chai Elul 5731, 1971, the Rebbe said in the name of the Friediker Rebbe that anyone who pledges an amount to tzedakah will have a conduit opened for them that allows them to fulfill their obligation.
Visit dollardaily.org to sign up today, partnering with the Rebbe’s shluchim to do everything we can together to bring Moshiach now.
