Guests at the FFH Pesach Program, hosted by the Feldman and Feigenson families, have been enjoying the beautifully run program and gourmet food, at the Villa Roma Resort in scenic upstate New York.
The crowd of 800 plus guests has been enjoying the warm camaraderie and pleasant atmosphere, with many different Jews of all types from around the world united in Simchas Yom Tov.
During the first few days, the crowd has proved to be generous as well.
During the first few days of Yom Tov, the program’s Shacharis minyan has collectively raised nearly $50,000 in Aliyas and Kibbudim, the Minyan’s Gabbai R’ Sruly Clapman, a Crown Heights resident, told COLlive.com.
The money raised will be donated to Bais Shmuel Chabad’s new community center to be built on Union Street and Albany Avenue in Crown Heights.
Clapman said: “Many people here are members of Bais Shmuel Chabad, and even those that are not, are grateful to the Shul’s founder Rabbi Moshe Pinson for his dedicated work for the community, and his plan to build a state of the art community center in Crown Heights.”
“People were glad to open their wallets for this cause,” added Clapman, who is the President of the Besht Shul in Crown Heights.
Bais Shmuel Chabad, which is renowned for its warm community, innovative programming, and for providing an open and inviting place to visit for all those who arrive from around the world, will be building a new home for their Shul, events, programming, and community center.
The groundbreaking event was held 2 weeks ago in Crown Heights. The building is projected to cost $12 million.
