Real estate investing is not the first place you’d think to look for strong frum female role models. But in the center of a successful private equity fund and commercial real estate portfolio, Esti Lowenbein, mother and wife, manages to do it all.
Four years ago, Lowenbein dropped her job as a speech therapist and went into real estate full time. Since then she’s transacted over $400 million worth of deals nationwide and raised over $45 million in equity.
She’s been interviewed on over 30 podcasts about her work, and has written for the real estate column of New York Lifestyle magazine and The Resident.
On top of everything else, Lowenbein is also the mom of eight beautiful children, the oldest of who is fifteen.

Lowenbein will headline the second in a monthly series launched by Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs (CHYE). It will be held on Monday, December 20, in the new Miriam’s Motherhood Center in Crown Heights.
The event will feature an interactive Q&A with Lowenbein covering a wide range of topics from how to switch careers to how to get started in real estate on a smaller scale, building networks, overcoming fear, and more.
“The goal is to empower women to launch meaningful careers—in real estate and beyond,” explains Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, who founded CHYE in 2012 to support entrepreneurship in Crown Heights.
CHYE brings together business owners and freelancers of Crown Heights to network, build relationships, and access professional development and educational opportunities. “Getting ahead in life, career, and business, all starts with the right mindset,” Werde says.
