The 2nd Lubavitcher Rebbe, “the Mittler Rebbe” founded the Chassidic community in Chevron almost 200 years ago.
Today is the 9th of Kislev, both his birthday and day of passing, and tomorrow the 10th of Kislev, we celebrate his “Chag Hageula” the day he was released from jail in Czarist Russia after being falsely accused of treason due to his support of the Chabad community in Hevron and other holy cities in the land of Israel.
