Rabbi Meir Sirota wrote a letter to the public this week on behalf of a young man he knows personally. The young man is a divorced father of 7 children, a huge challenge in and of itself. The man’s divorce, however, was only the beginning of his tragedy.
Shortly after the couple’s separation the children developed severe health issues, and the young father was at a loss as to how to afford the necessary treatments on his own. He went down a road which many have seen the dark side of: Loans.
Unfortunately, in his desperation, the man made the mistake of borrowing money from the wrong individuals. Now, aggressive creditors are allegedly threatening his life. He receives terrifying calls with death threats from those who want their money. He has to manage this terror with the overwhelming responsibility of raising sick children alone.
Rav Sirota has appealed to the public, asking for donors to help save this family, as it is a matter of life and death. Click here to read the Rav’s full statement.
