New Yorkers are feeling the cold and wind Wednesday evening after temperatures dropped more than 10 degrees and produced wind chills in the teens — a taste of what is to come on Thanksgiving.
The coldest air so far this season will descend on New York City Thursday, accompanied by icy winds and single digit wind chills.
The temperatures on Thanksgiving are projected to be the coldest since 1901, when the high was 26 degrees.
The projected high for Thanksgiving Day 2018 is 27 degrees. The low will be about 19.
Wind chills are projected to be between 6 and 12 degrees between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Thursday and will not improve much later on in the day.
The cold will be “dangerous” all across the Northeast and New England on Thursday, the Weather Underground warned.
Is that really how the news reports such cold weather? I didn’t know New York was so ‘hoaky’
Better than those of us up north! Think Montreal, Toronto, western NY..
