For the second consecutive year, Gimmel Tammuz was commemorated by N’shei Chabad of Aleph & Gimmel with An Evening of Reflection which included a beautiful 4-course seuda, inspiring speakers, and a mini Chinese Auction.
It was standing room only in the functions room of Chabad on Dolev on Monday night, Ohr Gimmel Tammuz, as women and girls remembered the legacy and the Achdus of the Rebbe. Organized once again by Mrs. Miriam Marks and Mrs. Hindy Lewis, in the words of more than one guest…”not a single detail was forgotten.”
Introductory remarks were given by Mrs. Bracha Farro, the Rebbetzin of Aleph, and Mrs. Ella Firbanks of Gimmel said the Rebbe’s Kapital.
Mrs. Gila Lowell, renowned educator and public speaker from Mayanot, enthralled the audience with her incredible insights and anecdotes that addressed the theme of building a dira b’tachtonim as explained by the Rebbe. Mrs. Lowell’s enthusiasm was contagious and our guests interacted with her as she brought down the concept of joy… and how to turn sadness into joy. Certainly the evening was joyful as her words resonated with all.
The mini Chinese Auction drew great attention and the lucky winners of the prizes were delighted. They included beautiful jewelry, a custom leather challah cover, and the new book about the Rebbe’s life: Early Years. Even those who weren’t winners certainly felt like it when the evening ended.
Thanks must go to the generous hostesses and sponsors, whose contributions made it possible for the guests to enjoy this wonderful evening without breaking the bank; we urge everyone to patronize our local businesses, whether you are a resident or a visitor to RBS!
We look forward to hosting our upcoming Chai Ellul event not in RBS, but in Yerushalayim with the Rebbe leading the farbrengen.
Great work Hindy!!
I’m sure Pinni would be happy to take photos for future events gratis – just send her the ticket 🙂
