Announcement from N’shei Chabad and Junior N’shei Chabad:
The phrase “Crown Heights community” is a bit of a paradox. On the one hand, Crown Heights is so (over)populated and diverse that it’s practically made up of hundreds of smaller community, based on the shul you daven at, the school you teach at, or even the building you live in. On the other hand, there just that sense while you’re walking down the street that you’re among family.
Admittedly, family members that you might not wave and smile at every time you pass them, but let’s be practical. If you literally had several thousand cousins, you probably wouldn’t even know them all personally, let alone have time to greet them all. It’s just a matter of statistics.
But when it comes to family gatherings, EVERYONE is going to be there. Whether it’s to get a break from the kids, meet the newest additions or even just to schnorr food, they’re all going to show up.
Crown Heightsers, this is your cue!
The family gathering of all N’shei Chabad in general, and of Crown Heights in particular is happening this Tuesday night.
We are meeting at the lovely Oholei Torah Ballroom at 7:45 for some sisterhood and inspiration. Titled “Eretz Yisroel, We Have You Covered,” this event will spell out the Rebbe’s directives to the women of Chabad to ensure the safety of our brethren in Eretz Yisroel. In the past, the Rebbe encouraged us to do specific actions to protect the Jewish people in troubled times. That’s US!
To gather as many women and girls as possible to hear this message, Junior N’shei Chabad will be flying in a phenomenal guest speaker, Reb Nissan Dovid Dubov from England, who will address us and discuss the practical steps each and every one of us can take to make a difference for Eretz Yisroel in these challenging times.
Mrs. Caroline Cohen will wow the crowd with her stunning voice! There will also be a professional multi-media presentation at the event. This event is free of charge and first 400 attendees get a free gift. Did we mention that every attendee has a chance to win a Barbera sheitel (something we can all use, right?)
Are you game? Bring your selfie stick. There’s going to be a LOT of people you’ll want to take pictures with.
