On Sunday, 1 Teves, 7th day of Chanukah leading into the 8th, the Lubavitch Community of Melbourne Australia, led by Yeshivah Gedolah organized a fantastic car-menorah parade
Although in Melbourne it doesn’t get dark until late this time of year, the cars proudly paraded through some of the busiest shopping districts of Melbourne from broad daylight into the dusk.
Many Anash of Melbourne drove their cars with Illuminated car menorahs (sourced from NLZ Imports, together with Yeshivah Gedolah) distributing menorahs to those who could still use them for the last night, and spreading the “Pirsumei Nissa” throughout Melbourne.
The cars were joined by the Jewish motorcycle club “Yids on Wheels”, with the local politician Mr. David Southwick MP joining with a Menorah on his motorcycle.
A big thank you to the organizers and volunteers; Shloimy Kesselman, Levi Raskin, Yisroel Gutnick, the rest of the YG bochurim and the Anash of Melbourne.
