On Sunday, boys from Grade 6 of the Rabbinical College of Canada welded two Menorahs for their classrooms.
Under the direction of Schneur Mockin and supervision of Grade 6 Rabbi Moshe Ezagui and Rabbi Zirkind, each child was handed the welding torch and proceeded to weld the copper pipes together.
The boys then sanded the Menorahs, and placed wicks and olive oil inside the protruding pipes at the top, and a beeswax candle in the place for the Shamash.
The Menorahs were placed at the window of both Grade 6 classes for everyone to see.
“Welding together a Menorah of their own is an experience these boys will take with them through life,” said Rabbi Shmuel Vaisfiche, Principal of the Rabbinical College of Canada. “When going out into the world on Chanukah Mivtzoim, they will be able to use their creativity and talents to bring light to the world.”
The Rabbinical College of Canada is currently posting photos from their archives on their Facebook page.

Kol hakavod for taking your time and expertise by teaching the boys how to weld and have an incredible hands on educational experience.
My son really enjoyed it and learned so much!
