Monday: Parenting With Love

Parenting. Also called childrearing, childcare, nurturing and educating, parenting refers to the 24/7 activity of being a parent. Parenting takes place while you work, while you sleep and even remotely.

But more than just providing for our children’s physical needs, parenting refers to nourishing our children’s souls, minds and hearts. Even under the best of circumstances, this can be a challenge without the proper tools.

This Monday, May 11th, Junior N’shei will be hosting their annual parenting event, “Parenting with Love”.

The main speakers of the evening will be Yossi and Rochy Hirsch presenting the Nurtured Heart Approach.

Originally created by Howard Glasser as a method to work with high-intensity children, the approach has now proven to help all children regulate their behaviors and develop a strong sense of self-worth. The Nurtured Heart Approach teaches parents to bring out the best in their children and build better relationships with them. Both parents and teachers have found great success in applying the methodologies of the program. The Hirsch duo are certified advanced trainers of the program as well as parenting consultants whose work has transformed the lives of many families. Perhaps yours can be one of them!

Also at the event will be Junior N’shei’s first ever Children’s Expo, featuring a variety of products to nourish children in mind, body and soul. Be sure to check out Hachai’s children’s books, a selection of youth vitamins, Arbonne products and more. See the flyer for full details.

The program will take place at Lubavitcher Yeshiva on Monday evening. The Expo begins at 7:30, and the program begins at 8:30. General admission is $10, and Head Start/All My Children parents pay a reduced admission fee of $6. The admission cost includes a raffle ticket for a lovely pearl necklace. Participants will also enjoy a soup and salad bar.
