This summer, Kol Neshama, the performing arts conservatory for girls directed by Robin Garbose, will embark on a four week trip to Eretz Yisroel.
Approximately 40 talented young women, ages 12 to 18, will spend the month of July in Tzefat, at the picturesque Machon Alte Campus, where they will immerse in the world of the performing arts.
They will attend daily classes in singing, dance, and acting, taught by accomplished professionals, culminating in an exciting stage production.
The program will also incorporate inspiring Torah learning, exploration of the many local sites and hikes, plus a fifth week of touring the Holy Land.
Through the summer program, now in its 15th year, nearly 500 girls from all over the world have experienced the joy and benefit of creative expression, while developing their gifts with a Torah perspective.
Mrs. Garbose, thrilled by the new vistas being in Tzefat opens up, says, “I think it’s the right community for us, and a great time of year to bring in audiences who appreciate the inspiring work we are doing.”
Kol Neshama is dedicated to providing artistic training and performance opportunities for religious girls, and to developing an emerging artistic voice through the creation of distinctly Jewish film and stage productions.
To date, Kol Neshama has produced ten original plays, a DVD series, and two internationally acclaimed feature movie musicals for women, A Light for Greytowers and The Heart that Sings. Mrs. Garbose’s newest feature film, Operation: Candlelight, is currently in post production.
Mrs. Garbose will be in Crown Heights this week and is holding an Open House to present the Israel program to interested mothers and daughters on Sunday, March 2 at 3:00 pm at 672 Eastern Parkway.
